2010 Editorial...

As an Angling Journalist and Broadcaster, I have visited many Angling Shows in various parts of the Country over many years.

The North East of England had never staged a Show for the Sea Angling and Boat enthusiast.  So, in 2008 we put on the very first North East Sea Angling and Boat Show at Nissan Sports & Social Club here in Washington, Tyne & Wear.

Following the success of our premier show - and indeed the greater success of the 2009 Show - the 2010 North East Sea Angling and Boat Show will take place on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st October 2010.  Many of the exhibitors have re-booked and we thank them for their support … and there are several other companies who have shown a positive interest in joining us at the 2010 show.

Among exhibitors at the show will be premier sea angling magazines, boat manufacturers and suppliers, rod and reel manufacturers, lure manufacturers, specialist manufacturers, holiday companies, local tackle suppliers, four-wheel drive suppliers - in fact, something for everyone.

Members of the North East and U.K. Surfcasting Associations will be giving demonstrations throughout the two day event and will be pleased to give 0ne-to One instructions to visitors who wish to improve their casting techniques.

Many of the ‘names’ in angling will be on hand to give talks and presentations, together with ‘question and answer’ sessions.

The R.N.L.I. will be carrying out safety checks, free of charge, for boat owners who bring their life jackets to the show and will also be giving demonstrations on the correct use and handling of distress flares.

Refreshments and meals will also be available in the upstairs lounge throughout the two day event.

Come along and meet some of the top experts in Sea Angling
